Hi guys ive got an msi gaming 5 z97 board with an audio boost 2 amp section a switch for the rear i/o audio output and i see i need an audio power connector at one point on the bottom of the board but where do i get that specific cable, is it pricey and where do i plug the other end to?

Also theres a mic input port, if i connect the circuit will it give me a cleaner audio signal with less white noise?

Thanks Orion

Reduction from molex to that connector should be in box with your motherboard. As for mic, you mean connector in back? It wont give you less white noise as this comes mostly from mic itself unless you get quite good one.

Thank you for that Mister_MO. I had another look and it was in the bottom of the box. I remember coming across this strange old school molex connector before and thought as it was old tech it must be for connecting older hardware to the board. Ah i thought that might be the case with the white noise.
So its just considerably better audio output from the rear i/o if i hook this up.
Thank you for the information.
