So, i must start out by saying that this doesn't happen very often. But when it does happen it's f***ing annoying. So i built a computer using a used cpu, gpu and ram. the rest is brand new. Sometimes when i start the computer, it "forgets" the gpu driver and i have install that through geforce experience. but after installing it again, after rebooting windows will either freeze at login after typing in my pin. or like a minute after successfully logging in. when this happens it sometimes reboots by itself or i hold the power button to turn it off. When it reboots by itself the gpu driver is uninstalled again, and i need to install it. I was wondering where the problem could be? I have reinstalled windows 10 but that doesn't fix the problem.

The specs for my pc:
Motherboard: Asus H81 Gamer
Power supply: Corsair CX450M
CPU: I7-4790
GPU MSI GTX 970
Case: NZXT S340
Ram: 12GB DDR3
OS: Windows 10 Pro
SSD: Sandisk X300
HDD: WD Blue 1TB

I checked multiple psu wattage calculator, before buying a PSU and they all said that my recommended PSU wattage is around 390 watts. That's why i went with a 450 watt PSU

GTX 970 uses 145W of power, and NVIDIA recommends a 500w unit.
Factorin in an non oc i7 and rest of the system you likley need around 270w of power continous so you should have pretty much double of that as a PSU, thus 500-550w.

As soon as you factor capacitor aging or any flaw in the PSU a 450w unit is going to start to struggle to output that as a constant demand while gaming.
