I'm installing a noctua nh-d15. Should I use the included Noctua NT-H1 or should I get arctic mx4 for better cooling? I also have some as5 laying around. I understand that advertised cooling temps are with the included Noctua NT-H1 thermal paste, but I hear that mx4 is better for overclocking. Which should I use?

I use MX4 on all my builds , about 3 dozen at this point , great thermal paste.
Go with MX4.

NT-H1 and MX4 perform about the same, but NT-H1 is easier to apply.

Why would he buy thermal paste when he already has a healthy sized tube of quality paste included with his cooler?

Some people have a preference , I never use the included paste even though some are very good. I only use MX4 has given me the best performance.
