Help, high cpu after new gpu

Specs:
Intel core 2 quad cpu q6600
Asus geforce gt 730 2gb gddr5
6gb RAM
Nox Urano SX 500W
Intel® Desktop Board
DG965WH

Basically i had a Nvidia 315, i didnt have much money so i bought the Asus geforce gt 730 2gb gddr5, after uninstalling the previous drivers, plug the new gpu, it started to go so slow, after installing the new drivers, it went better, but still ennough to be a problem. Thanks in advance.

i dont know too much about the geforce gt 730 but i know the intel core 2 quad is pretty old. maybe its that due to its age and computing power its running at higher speeds to try keeping up with your better GPU, causing it to have high temperatures and be slow
