How do I prevent gpu from using memory

I got a GeForce gtx 770. When I checked the amount of shared ram it's says 4gb. So does anyone know how to decrease the amount of shared ram an a GeForce gtx 770? My OS is windows 10.

What do you mean by shared RAM? The card comes with 4GB of VRAM. The VRAM is extremely important to the overall operation of the card and the more the better. You should never want to decrease your VRAM.

The GPU uses its own VRAM.
What is telling you 'shared'?

You can't and the system will only use system ram if you run out of dedicated vram.
