Hi guys, I'm looking at building a second PC now my older one can't handle what I'm putting it through. I live in the UK, and I'm trying to get a YouTube channel going with let's play videos.

I'm looking to build a PC capable of playing the new-gen games at high quality and recording them at the same time with OBS, at 1080p quality. Simultaneously recording webcam with second OBS window, and audio from Blue Yeti mic over USB with Audacity. That will be the main drive for it, but I'll be using it for editing and any other day-to-day stuff as well. I'll be storing videos etc. on it, will have my catalogue of games and so on. Outside of recording, I'll also be playing games at 1440p high quality.

My current budget is about £1800 including shipping, but if I get real gains with a bit more cash, I'd go up to £2000.

Noise isn't a huge issue, but a fairly quiet solution if not too expensive and still good performance would be great. I already have a Geforce GTX 1070 in my older machine, which will move to the new one, two monitors which will do the same, and a keyboard.

I've heard good things so far about Ryzen, my current plan is this build: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/3Y2CvV

Sorry for the late response, this is the first chance I've had to look at this.

Thanks for the info, that's interesting. I hadn't realised this was something to be aware of, but I'll have a look at the one you suggest.
