I have just put together my first gaming pc and everything was going fine. I was beginning the Windows 10 installation using an external USB cd/dvd/rw drive but it kept showing an error about how the DVD device could not be detected(I had to use external dvd drive because my case does not support internal). The message reads: "No signed device drivers were found. make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers, then click OK." Which is weird because it already worked thus far. I have chosen to boot from DVD drive in bios, tried disabling secure boot, etc.
Update: I just tried using a USB flash drive for Windows 10 installation. same issue. tried in every USB 3.0 and 2.0 slot and nothing has changed. Please help!

is it the same setup files on the dvd and on the usb ? if so it sounds like a corrupt installation media .

I received the cd in the mail from Microsoft and I got the ISO on the USB flash drive from Microsoft website...

what brand/model of hard disk are you installing it on ? and it is a HDD SSD or m.2 ssd ?

edit: you downloaded the usb install media from microsoft. does this mean you have access to another pc and it's hard disk ?

LG External CD/DVD Rewriter With M-Disc Mac & Surface Support (Gold)-model GP65NG60.
I am using an SSD with no HDD.
Yes I am using a friend's laptop and it has a disk reader.

have you tried this http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-3206558/signed-drivers-found-error.html ?

what it sounds like is that when you're getting to the point where it should bring up the list of drives you can install to , format and partition.. it's not finding the ssd.. so it is asking you for the drivers to find your ssd... now if your ssd came with a dvd on there might be the drivers it is looking for .. its unlikely though that your ssd came with such a thing. with this being a new build.. i would assume your motherboard came with an installation cd/dvd you can look for the sata controllers on this disc or go to the motherboards manufacturers website and find the drivers that you require. and extract them to your usb flash drive.

you should be looking for SATA controller drivers. i am assuming this is a more widely used type of ssd and not an m.2 ?

it is not the usb dvd drive or usb flash drive that is the problem from what i am understanding .. you're getting through the first bit where the installation asks you to press any key and then it starts to load the windows installation process.. only it halts at the point where you press next to be taken to the screen where you select that you want to install to your ssd ?

instead it is asking you for drivers for the ssd or the sata controller driver that will allow windows setup to communicate with your ssd .

that is what i am thinking is the problem .. it's not finding the ssd so asking for drivers .

if i am getting the wrong impression of the problem .. please just say :p and i will try to stop solving a problem that doesn't exist haha

Actually that sound about right. It reads that I have a windows disk in, get past the product key part, and when I press "custom install" is when there are no drivers listed...

-ASRock B250 Pro4 LGA 1151 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX
-SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 250GB SATA III 3-D Vertical Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-75E250B/AM

that would be awesome! would I just download them to the same usb with the windows 10?

you would download them .. then extract them to the usb.. because if you don't extract them.. windows setup won't be able to open a zip file or even see it possibly .

im having a hard time finding any drivers that should help . one other question..is the ssd listed in bios ? and you have connected the ssd to the the motherboard internally.. and not to an external usb port ? just checking .. as i bash my head on your mobo websites page .

edit : just now seen your updated post ... i was hoping it was something simple of this nature because i couldn't find the driver.. don't feel like a fool mistakes are easily made when in a rush to get the new beast up and running :)
