Kingston HyperX ram question needing answer before purchase

I have old Kingston HyperX ddr3 1600 mhz ram 2x2x2 6gb and was going to get HyperX (fury) ddr3 1600 mhz 4gb single stick and was wondering if I would have any problems with dual channel or the ram working at all. Any help would be nice thanks.

Most likely won't have issues. There is no guarantee that two identical modules will work right together unless they are purchased as a kit. There have been more than a few questions here regarding mixing RAM and issues. Others don't have any issues. It's a crabshoot(please don't try that at home or anywhere :D).

I would by a new kit and save that for troubleshooting.
