So my pc does not have inbuilt wifi, so I have shared My wifi connection from my laptop via an Ethernet cable to my pc. This has worked previously, however recently it has been extremely slow, so today I uninstalled the network adapters from both computers, and now the pc won't even pick up that an Ethernet cable has been plugged in. The only network adapter in device manager is called 'Intel(R) 82567LM-3 Gigabit Network Connection' which I have also uninstalled and then restarted my pc many times.

Additionally, I have a netgear n300 wna3100 wifi adapter which I tried to use after his happened, however, while being picked up in device manager, the installation wizard gets stuck on looking for the device, until I unplug it and it says could not be found immediately after unplug.

Network and sharing center is empty. Am running Windows 10. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Focus on getting back to the original configurations.

I.e., the laptop working via wifi and the pc working via ethenet. Set aside connecting/bridging the two for the time being.

Most likely, as I read your post, you will need to download the applicable network card adapters, reinstall, and reconfigure them for your network. Download the drivers from the network adapter card manufacturers.

Work through the entire process carefully and methodically.

Once both the laptop and pc are back to normal then you can re-establish the bridge connection via the laptop. Trusting that that is what you originally did to get it to work previously.
