hey all ,

just upgraded some parts, but now i'm getting no display when i boot.
my motherboard and chassis don't have an internal speaker so i can't listen for the post beeps

Intel Core i5-7600K*
ASUS B150 PRO D3 ATX DDR3 1800 Motherboard*
WD Black 1TB Performance Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache
Crucial MX100 2.5" 512GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
MSI GAMING GeForce GTX 1060 6GB GDDR5
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

upgraded the mobo and cpu, the rest ran fine on the previous mobo/cpu.
i've tried removing the graphics card and running display straight from the mobo, no dice.
fans power up, mobo and graphics card light up when turning the system on, but no display.

any other ideas, or am i stuck until i get an internal speaker to diagnose post issues?

Solution
It needs a BIOS update for a Kaby lake. Only way youre going to update it is with a Skylake.

Either by borrowing one or buying one. Or take it to a shop

Or replace it with a Z270 / B250 mobo

B150, H110 and Z170 mobos need a BIOS update to support a Kaby Lake CPU
