Slow USB tethering

Im currently using USB tethering to my pc but the speed is super slow which is so frustrating.

the speed on my mobile is fine, keep getting 30+ mbps (Note 5 4G LTE) but the speed on my pc via usb tethering is 0.2 - 1 mbps

When i run speedtest on both device simultaneously (PC still via USB tethering) the speed on my pc would crank up to 20+ mbps

i dont know whether the mobile device is limiting the speed or what

Things i tried to fix but failed:-

- using wifi hotspot
- reboot pc and mobile device
- trying usb tethering on another pc
- Reset my phone back to factory
- using third party apps (PDANET, clockworkmod)

Please help me guys

I experienced a similar issue too once where the connection works initially but suddenly drops to a crawl. I fixed it by enabling dhcp in mobile internet sharing settings. Also, set your network adapter (in pc) to auto obtain ip. I hope it helps

UPDATE: tried but still no luck :( hoping for another solution
