Hi, I'm a first timer when it comes to building a PC. I know about all the parts and I've tweaked my current build before; I've never however built a PC ground up. Anyone got any tips or any nice directions for it? For example what to do first and such? Curious to see what the community thinks. Hahah I'm personally somewhat paranoid that I might mess up the motherboard installation part but most say it's not that hard. Here's a list of the parts I got:

Case: Cooler Master Haf X 942
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700
GPU: Sapphire R9 270X 4 GB
Motherboard: MSI x370 gaming pro carbon
PSU: Corsair 750 watt 80+ Gold
Memory: G. Skill RIPJAWS 32 gb 2400 MHz DDR4

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Be overly anxious and everything will go perfectly. Don't be afraid to push a but harder than you'd think you need to for installing the GPU and RAM. Also make sure you plug everything in. It is a pain to have to go through your entire system looking for the unconnected wire. Also, get a plastic cup or something to hold the screws you take out, they will go missing if you don't. Finally enjoy it, I remember being so nervous when installing my first CPU and I was doing squat jumps to settle myself down. Find a good video or two and watch the whole process. Personally install fans, then PSU, HDDs, CPU and ram on MOBO, then put Mobo in case, attach CPU cooler, install GPU, plug everything together and spam the power button like a maniac. Good Luck Future PCMasterRacer!

Those should help you.

Just remember to double check everything. Don't force the CPU in.

Also, build the PC on the mobo box first just to see if everything powers on, THEN put it in the case. This is known as breadboarding, and can save A LOT of headache if something was actually DOA.

Thanks for all the tips and videos guys, appreciate it. I'm gonna purchase the final part tomorrow and build it then. As for my GPU, I'm carrying this card over from my old PC; a new card would be too expensive and the card isn't that bad to carry over compared to my old processor anyway lol (2009 AMD Phenom II X4 940). Thanks again fellas
