I got myself a new mother board and cpu. I have everything where it needs to be but now when I turn on my computer it gives me h message in the title. I haven't changed my graphics card, only the mother board. I'm fairly certain everything that needs to be plugged in is plugged in. This is frustrating and I need help.
specs: evga gtx 960
i7-7600 cpu
MSI z170a mother board
Cooler master 550w

Are we to assume that you didn't reinstall your OS? In fact what was your motherboard and CPU prior to the upgrade?

3| Have you made sure your motherboard BIOS is u to date?

You may not have changed the video card but you had to have removed it and the power cables to install the motherboard.

Make sure your power cables are all in the video card and also properly in the power supply if it's a modular one. Also make sure you are using the PCIe power cables and not some other 6 or 8 pin connection.

I did not reinstall my OS

My old CPU was an i5-6400 and I dont remember what my exact older motherboard was other than it was an ASUS.

I have not made sure my BIOS is up to date. I did buy it new 2 days ago.

I'm sorry but I'm really not good with computers do I'm pretty slow with this stuff.
