As the title says, i built this pc and when i tried to turn it on, all the LEDs flash once and the Debug CPU led flashes red once and nothing, it just turns off.

No fans turn on, no boot up.

I've checked all the connectors, especially the 24-pin and 8-pin connectors. Also the power switch and i jumped it too to make sure that was working. I checked the CPU to see if the pins were ok and none are bent. I also checked the thermal paste and that was good too, none of it got anywhere. I even reset the BIOS and swapped the ram sticks around and tried turning it on with no ram sticks and still the same results. I put the speaker on it too and it didn't beep at all.

What else can I do? is my motherboard dead? or the CPu?

When posting your system's specs, list them as:

On another note, why did you get an i7-6700K when you are pairing it with a B150 chipset? You should've gone with a Z170 chipsetted motherboard.

That being said, while breadboarded, have you tried with only one stick of ram in the appropriate slot, DIMM2, as per your manual? I would suggest that you inspect the CPU socket again. If you're sure that there are no bent pins while all the necessary connections are made, then you may need to RMA the board or perhaps the ram. You might want to try the ram kit on your friend's/neighbors system and see if they operate as intended.

Per your manual, if the CPU Debug LED flashes, then the CPU is not detected/fail which is why I'm asking for you to inspect the CPU socket again. You may want to shoot us a picture in case you might miss something.

Its a motherboard problem probably doa, call msi early today and see if the technicians agree for a rma mobo exchange.
Also try what Lutfij says although I have a feeling it won't do any good at all as underlined in your quoted response.
