i seen a few been asked around, but i've yet to play with OC in the new boards bios.PC specs are in my sig.
im hoping to get 4.5 out of this monster, but wouldnt know where to start since this bios is much different then my last build, and i used the intel overclock tool (not very useful IMO), this is going to be my first OC in the actual bios.

i looked around and couldnt find any useful tips on this chip with my board hence why im asking :/

This thread answers your question. http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-3175582/overcloking-6700k-gigabyte-z170xp-sli-atx.html

"Continue raising the multiplier until unstable then raise voltage until you have your desired/max overclock.
I would try to not go above 1.39v on that chip for a 24/7 overclock." This is from the first response to the OP.

EDIT, to clarify, in OC voltage is what is important to keep an eye on not frequency. The frequency that you can OC to depends on how lucky you are with your chip. The voltage is what increases the stress on your CPU.
