Just need some advice [on planned new build]

Hey, so I am going to be buying and building my first PC here very soon. I currently have a gaming laptop but I just want to upgrade and I have the money to do so at the moment so no time like now. Anyway, I just wanted some people to look over my pcpartpicker list and give any advice they might have. PC will be mainly used for gaming, although I do not tend to play a lot of double A titles. Mostly play CSGO, League, along with some other games mixed in. I am looking to also consider to start streaming. Which is why I went with the ryzen.

My budget is pretty much around $1300 monitor included, although if I could get that lower it would be amazing.

I was debating on going with the current build list, or going with a i5 7500 and a RX 480. The second is significantly cheaper, but I was worried about the impact on performance.

In my opinion Ryzen 5 will render current i5s pretty much obsolete.
Yes Ryzen got some issues with the design and how windows responds to it but you get a 6 core CPU with 12 threads (oppose to the i5s 4/4) which will make up for it.
Right now Ryzen is dragging behind a bit but it's a new design, those things take a bit of time to get optimized.

As for the Rx480 Vs. 1060, my opinion for 1080p is: 1060 6GB > Rx480 > 1060 3GB
But it depends a bit on the task.
For csgo/lol I'd get a 1060

I also looked into the i5 7500 but wasn't sure about the streaming capabilities there. I am not committed to ryzen, although I feel they offer a good price point for what they are.

I disagree on the 1600 to a degree. More cores and threads could come handy in the future and for multitasks like streaming. But it's a matter of budget.

As for the build; solid.
I'd get 3000MHz RAM though as Ryzen likes fast RAM.
Unless you really love the look of the P400 or the sound dampening is really important to you, check out the Phanteks Enthoo Pro M - not as stylish but with lots of nice features and expandability.
As for the 1060s - I personally don't like the singlefan design of the EVGA card and heard the ZOTAC runs a bit hot, but I didn't varify it

Thanks for the input, I will look at the 3000MHz RAM.
The case isn't really important to me, I just wanted something with decent air flow, and found the P400.

I would suggest you go with Intel CPU's purely because they will be cheaper and you will not experience much of a drop in performance in which could go into a better motherboard.
Such as an Intel I7 6700k which is cheaper, a lot more gaming orientated and a lot more supported.
Ryzen CPU's are very Workstation orientated not very gaming.

I again disagree.
The 6700k isn't really cheaper. (5$) and decent LGA1151 boards are at least as expensive than AM4 boards.
While the 6700k certainly delivers higher frame rates in games it's still only a quadcore and I'd bet in a gaming+streaming scenario that while you probably don't get as high max FPS Ryzen will probably do better for minimum/avg FPS in that scenario, especially since csgo & lol aren't that hard on the cpu

But of course a 6700k is an interesting option as well if you can find it on sale

Again thank you very much for the input this is exactly what I needed.

If I could bother you for one more answer,
Would you go with the current build, or go with a i5 7500 and an RX 480. Keep everything else mostly the same. Obviously the MOBO would have to change. But what is you opinion on the difference in the two options. This is really the big debate I have been having with myself recently.

I'm not a big fan of the 7500 tbh.
You get a Ryzen 5 CPU with twice as many cores at same clocks
The 7500 has a bit better IPC but the additional threads of the Ryzen make up for it.

My personal opinion: with the arrival of Ryzen locked i5s are kinda obsolete as they do not really offer much for the same price
Intel's i7s are attractive, if it's solely for gaming an i5-6600k/7600k is interesting, for a streaming build I wouldn't go with an i5 though

I haven't read much on the ryzen 5s, and I know they don't release until the 11th. But are they looking like they can perform with streaming as well? Or should I just stick with the ryzen 7? And what is your thoughts on the 1060 6GB vs the RX 480? I know the 480 tends to run hot from what I have read.
