Hello Community,

Today I have a question about Disk Usage. Now I know disk usage is the reading/writing that goes on within the system, but my question is, (1) Is that accurate?, and (2) What controls that? Does the CPU control that? Is it the limit of the SATA cable? Do PCIe SSD's not suffer from it as much as SATA SDD's? My main question is, how do I increase the disk capacity, thus reducing the total Disk Usage? I am not asking this about a particular system, just in general. Thank you for listening.

the read process is done by any program that requires to read a file it needs

this includes windows and any other program

same applies for write procces

if a hard disk is bussy all the time reading and writing, or you are using lots of programs that require to read and write or the hard disk is having problems reading files, caused by errors that requires a checkdisk or problems in the surface of the hard disk platter,s checkdisk and replace unit should be required

disk capacity is determined by the model and size of the hard disk you bought, if it is 1 terabyte, well, that is what you bought, if you want more, buy another hard disk with 1 terabyte or more, you determine the size based on your needs nd the money you can spend on the...
