So I'm interested in purchasing a new microphone along with a boom arm and maybe even a pop filter? My budget is $150 all together. I've been looking at a a blue Yeti lately and I think I'm interested. But I need a boom arm for easier use. Can you guys recommend me some microphones / boom arms? This is for recording gaming videos for YouTube and also live streaming so I need the quality to be really good.

Solution
the blue yeti is a good microphone with a good sound and features yet a few caveats.
-it is very large so will be quite visible in your vision if you record games, etc
-shock mounts are very expensive
-it is heavy so you might need a heftier arm/mount if you intend to keep it in 'upright' position (otherwise you can use it hanging downwards)

the at2020 (if using an audio interface) or the at2020usb+ (+ option gives ability to live-monitor with headphones, non + does not offer this for a bit cheaper) are great as well. smaller, lighter and cheap accessories fit it. the atr2500 is cheaper and similar to the 2020 but not quite as good and with cheaper build quality though for the price it is not bad.

Ok, so I think I'll look for a different mic then. Any other suggestions? Or should I get a headset?
