Mixing & matching modules is never a good idea, especially modules so dramatically different.

What are you trying to achieve with 10GB of RAM? I suspect you'd achieve either the same, or potentially better performance from just having the single 8GB module.

Thanks for the motherboard details, although CPU details also would have be nice as requested.

Basically this system seems to support up 16 GB total memory. So a 2 GB module and an 8 GB module could be used together, provided the modules are compatible with the system and are compatible with each other. But finding inter-module compatible memory combination may take a while using different modules until a compatible combination is found. This process may be more expensive and time consuming.

The combination of 2 GB and 8 GB is not really recommended as memory bandwidth is not being used at maximum. So it is recommended that a 2 x 4 GB dual channel kit be used instead where the modules have been tested and are guaranteed compatible with each other. Also memory bandwidth is now being utilized at maximum capacity.
