Is this a good pc build for 1080p gaming - could i get better?

Solution
Modern AAA titles are already demanding a GTX 1060 for 1080p/60Hz gaming. OP asked if he could do better. For another $30-40, he can get smoother framerates with higher graphical settings.

In fact, I'd recommend a GTX 1060 6GB which could last him another 2-3 years at 1080p/60Hz. Note that the OP is sizing down from a GTX 1080 so he has the budget.

I think GTX 1080 is overkill for 1080p too. Instead of RX 470, go with a RX480 though! Much more suited for 1080p and not overkill at all.

Also, 750W is excessive and that's not a good quality PSU. I would recommend either EVGA Supernova G2 550W or Seasonic M12ii 520W.

You could get Gtx 1070 or Gtx 1060/Rx 480 , and save money for i5 7600k or i7 6700k if it falls in the range. CPU lasts quite longer than GPU in terms of gaming. People are still using i7 2600k , so i think it should be a solid one. GPU , you can go with Gtx 1060/Rx 580/480 which are great for 1080p. Buying mid range cards won't bother you when you sell them later , and you can then try out mid range cards of every generation as you can easily save up money for them.
