Recently whenever I lock my computer windows key + L or just from a regular boot. After a few seconds of being locked all my devices that are on wifi lose connection. I cannot pin point what the cause of this is.
So... is your modem also a wifi router or are you wifi connection sharing from the PC?
My modem is a router as well it is a 2 in 1 combo. I am wired directly in with my desktop but whenever I am at the login screen the I cannot connect any wifi devices.
Only way this could happen is if wifi devices are trying to connect to your computer for internet and not the router.
Are you sharing internet from that computer with the other devices?
Did you manually set your computer to be the gateway device your devices are looking for?
Did you manually set your PCs IP address to be 192.168.x.1? (x being whaver number your network uses)?
That is really squirrely. What happens if you disconnect the pc from the modem with the screen UNlocked? Do they still show connected to wifi and can they browse the web?

Not sharing the internet as far as I can tell. I dont think i set my computer to be the gateway.(how would I check that?) and no my pc's ip is not the same as what i use to connect to the router.

Just unplugged while unlocked and they surfed the web fine but still when I locked the computer ( and the computer had no network connections) the wifi devices were still unable to connect. How is this even possible if the pc is unplugged. Also it works when the pc is powered off.
