Hey guys I'm currently installing a kraken x62 in my s340 elite case, I have two exhaust fans on the back and I'm just making sure I should have the fans pull air through the rad and into the case since I won't have any intakes if I install it the other way. Just want to make sure before install. Thanks

Solution
rad fans always blow in, no exceptions ... unless of course you intentionally want worse performance.

Front: 2 x 140mm / 120mm
Top: 1 x 140 / 120mm (1 x 120mm FN V2 Fans Included)
Rear: 1 x 120mm (1 x 120mm FN V2 Fan Included)

Not sure where that 2nd rear fan in rear of case coming from

It would appear that you are going to install the Kraken's rad at the front of the case with fans as intakes. Recognize that the fan air flow will be constricted by the inlet filters and the radiator.

With the 2 fans in the original case assumed to be blowing out, depending on the relative flow of the rad fans versus case fans ... it's highly likely that you will have negative case pressure.

So that means that air will be sucked in thru case...

So that means that air will be sucked in thru case opening with least air resistance... these will be :

a) Rear case grilles - air sucked in will carry hot exhaust from GFX card and PSU.

b) Top fan mount next to provided fan - again, some of the warm exhausted from top fan will get sucked back in

Along with that hot exhaust air, will come dust.

To eliminate, take the rear fan and put it on top of the case with all 4 fans as intake fans:

a) The general mindset is to try and match intakes and exhausts but this is not based in ... attic fans, windows fans, kitchen exhausts all work without matching fans.

b) And while it is true that hot air rises, the density of the heated air inside the case is just 1% or so lighter than ambient. And as anyone who has ever sat under a ceiling fan knows, air doesn't rise against a fan pointing in the opposite direction.

Make sure to use filter material on top if case doesn't provide. I'd use 4 intakes (top and front) and 1 exhaust at rear. This will force all excess air out thru the rear case grilles and prevent any PSU / GFX card exhaust from getting sucked into the case.
