so ill be getting getting an SSD for my pc's os would a 128Gb be fine to get because i intend to put all my steam games and programs on my 1TB HDD that i have now. i know running an os on an SSD improves the speed of the computer by alot but would it improve load times of my games if its on the hard drive or does it have to be on the SSD?

They have to be on the SSD. You are placing your games on the record player(platter based drive). That doesn't help. You can however put your most played game(s) on the SSD and rotate in/out new and old games http://lifehacker.com/how-to-move-a-pc-game-to-another-hard-drive-without-re-1714706774 . Unfortunately a 120GB drive gets filled up fast. I would opt for nothing less than a 256GB drive because you intend to store as much of your Steam library on it as possible. Then there is Origin and uPlay. Not sure if you use those clients.
