Hey guys. First time poster here.

I have 2 ASUS G276HL 27" 1080p monitors hooked up to my rig and I just had one of them refuse to display in its native 1080 resolution. Both monitors are hooked up via HDMI cords from my graphics card.
I have restarted the computer, used a different HDMI cord, switched cords around to different monitors, used VGA, removed the device and re-added it. In fact I have tried everything I can think of and even some things others have thought of.
I was using both monitors and both were working fine and then BOOM, one of them decided to change. I did notice however that the name of the device on the list went from G276HL to Generic PnP Monitor.

Any tips or is it just the monitor itself?

Graphics card is a Nvidia GeForce 1070 and is only about 6 months old.

Thanks in advance for any help

Solution
"G276HL to Generic PnP Monitor"
Windows isn't detecting the monitor properly.
Go into device manager
Right click on the Generic PnP Monitor
Click update driver
Now choose the same driver that your other monitor is using.
