Hello,
I made a mistake and bought a SATA m.2 SSD and the slot on my computer is PCIe m.2.

The computer model is HP ProDesk 400 G3 1GG02UT#ABA.
The SSD is Crucial MX300 m.2 275GB.

Is there any way to make it work?

Solution
Answer by 9warloc9 is false. "2280" is the size of ssd in millimeters. While PCI or SATA is a logical interface of m2 slot. SATA m2 SSD will not work in PCIe m2 slot and PCIe m2 ssd will not work in SATA m2 slot.

There are several logical interfaces of m2 slot: PCI Express, SATA, USB, Display Port, I2C, SDIO, UART
There are several sizes of m2: 12, 16, 22, 30 wide, and 16, 26, 30, 38, 42, 60, 80 or 110 millimeters long.
m2 device can be one-sided or double-sided: 2280-D2-B-M means 22 mm wide, 80mm long, double-sided, suitable for slots PCIe x2 / SATA / USB / PMC / IUM / SSIC / UART-I2C

Hi amitshlo.
You can install that drive with no problem. according to HP's site, the HP ProDesk 400 G3 1GG02UT#ABA has one m.2 socket for a 2280 solid-state drive which is what the Crucial MX300 is.
Here is a link to the manual I found it in.
Have fun
