Hello, just finished a new build. Specs are:
-ASRock Fatality Z270 Gaming 6 Mobo
-Intel i7-7700K Kaby Lake
-GTX 1080 FTW GPU
-GSkill Ripjaws V DDR4 3000 2X8
-EVGA Supernova 650 G2 PSU
-Samsung SSD, WD Blue HDD
-DeepCool Gammaxx 400

The issue is that once everything is in place I power on the PSU and the MOBO LEDs blink red (not the BIOS LED), once I hit the power button the Dr Debug flashed a bunch of codes but lands on "A2" and stays on that code. The other components are receiving power, the fans turn on, however the monitor isn't recognized when it's plugged into the GPU nor the MOBO via HDMI. When I turn off the MOBO, the BIOS LED stays on.

Here is what I've tried so far: Unplugged all SATA drives (HDD, SSD, DVD) and cleared CMOS with same result. Took out GPU and cleared CMOS with same result. Tried each stick of RAM individually, cleared CMOS with same result. Took out CPU, verified that no pins were bent, reinstalled CPU and RAM, cleared CMOS with same result... I have also tried rebooting 5 times in a row to see if that would do anything, same result with same code, A2.

I am starting to think that this board might be fried. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I also have a very similar situation.
I almost have the same build, but an 850 PSU, and a GTX-1080-Ti GPU.
1TB Samsung SSD, same Processor, same Memory Sticks.

But it is the same thing. Everything seems to work fine, lights flash on start up like normal, hit the power button, fans work great, Dr. Debug runs through its list and lands on A2 and goes no further. No beep for posting, and nothing comes up on the screen. I've tried VGA/DVI/HDMI through Mobo, Tried DVI/HDMI through GPU, nothing. I've taken apart multiple times, put it back together, always same issue.

Does anyone have any suggestions? It mentions that A2 is a SATA error, but I've tried a start up without connecting any SATA ports, re-arranging them, etc. Tried start-up without GPU. Tried a bare-bones startup... every single time, A2 error, no screen. And of course, I've been constantly clearing CMOS upon every new try. Also, I know my cords are good, as i'm using my backup computer right now and they work just fine.

Only thing I haven't tried is a BIOS update, and that is because I have no idea how to do that without the mobo actually getting to the BIOS screen.

Please let me know if anyone knows anything about this. I really don't want to send it back.

It ended up being a bad HDMI cable... So it was running but wouldn't show up on the monitor. I would try buying a dv cable and hook that up to the GPU. See if that works. Good luck, your rig sounds awesome!
