I am right now in Uruguay where everything is very expensive (I bought mi cp parts in the USA ) and I still need to buy a case/monitor and hard disc of 1 Tera. Is any hard disc okay or are some incompatible or just don't work? If you have an opinion of what a monitor need to be playable on I'd also love to know.

any HDD with a SATA port will work just fine. there is some quality difference, but even the worst quality has a less than 1 in 10,000 failure rate while in warranty

Just look around for one with 7200 RPM.
The "slower" ones (5400 or 5900 RPM) usually have slower transfer rates, but also draw less power. So depending on your intended use either one can be fine.
