I have a HP ENVY Phoenix h9-1405a, here is a link to the specs http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c03741993.
I was wondering whether it will fit inside because I am not too proficient with this and I am trying to avoid getting the card and realising that it doesn't fit.

You might be able to drop in the GTX1060 but since this is a prebuilt system we're talking about here chances are that HP have implemented safeguards to prevent an end user from adding in their own GPU. Why is this important? Simple, without a proper UEFI BIOS environment, adding a GTX1000(or a GTX700 and above) series card will only produce a black screen while your older GPU works perfectly fine.

If the PSU is as old as the system, then that will also need replacing to a quality unit.

If you know a friend who own a GTX1060, might want to ask him if you can borrow the card to test on your prebuilt.

I have no friends owning a GTX1060 to test so should I go out on a limb and get the card or do more research about it
