Hi, I'm planning to buy the Samsung 960 EVO 250GB (plus a 1TB HDD) with my ASUS Z170-Pro Gaming DDR4 motherboard. Does the DRAM on the storage have to match the DDR4 of the motherboard? Thanks in advance.

If you asking if type of SSD has anything to do with your ram on motherboard, the answer is no. When buying SSD you just need to make sure your motherboard has the right connection type available (SATA or M.2 or PCIe) and whether it supports NVMe (if you buy NVMe SSD).
