Hello,I wanted to know what is the best psu among these 3. I know XFX is the best quality one and with better cooling. Is Evga's 80 plus GOLD certification that much better than the 80plus bronze from the other two? . I know that corsair is a good quality one, also it's the only one of the three that is modular.

XFX TS 650w 80 plus bronze

EVGA 650 GQ 80 plus gold [NOT supernova]

Corsair CX650M 80 plus bronze

I want this psu for my first build(mid range). I want a psu that will last me very long. I'm planning on upgrading up to i7 6700k and gtx1080 in a far future (never sli). Thank you!

550W for an office rig. Lmao.

An office rig with an i7 + 8GB Ram would EASILY run on a 220W PSU.

A 6700k that is heavily overclocked doesn't draw more than 150W, a 1080 draws usually no more than 200-225W, up to 300W with an OC as the power connectors can't supply more

Adding ram, drives, case fans will sum up to less than 40W

So a 550W PSU will easily suffice, especially since gaming loads don't draw max power.

maybe just in efficiency titanium - platinum - gold - bronze

still cant hurt to check the units build quality and platform used

''Is there much difference beetween evga supernova gq and evga gq?''

the supernova are the superflower units like in there G2 units and have a bit better warentee time of 7 -10 years over the 5 fopr the gq

http://www.evga.com/products/productlist.aspx?type=10&family=Power+Supplies&chipset=650+Watts

''This unit, like all other G2, P2 and T2 units, is made by Super Flower, based on their highly popular Leadex platform''

https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/EVGA/SuperNOVA_G2_650/4.html

from that review of the 650 GQ on this page he kinda points this out ?? ''Yeah, that's not the same platform as the 850W model.''

that supernova G2 unit from evga is a well known tried and proven unit I'd feel safe with it and a known solid unit [opinion]

may look at the latest G3 seems to be a updated g2 as the g2 was to the g1 [that's was another FPS unit as the GQ not a superflower/ ledex ]
