So I recently have gotten all the parts to the budget build I was working on.
CPU: intel 2 Quad Core q9400
Ram: 4gb DDR2
Motherboard: Intel G33BU
GPU: R9 270x
A CD, and 1 tb hard drive.
I was putting the parts together today and when I finished the build the computer turned on but their was no display. I tried having 1 ram module of each, but the same thing happened. All the fans spun, then stopped for a second then spun then stopped. Then I don't know what I did but when I tried it again all the fans kept spinning besides the gpu fan cooler, it spun and stopped like before. Anyone know the problem?

What's the make and model of your PSU? Can you test the system on a spare power supply?

Can you breadboard to see if there's a short in your motherboard standoffs? Take out your mobo from the case, remove the graphics card, keep 1 RAM stick and hook it up with the PSU and monitor. If it boots, the issue is with one of the standoffs in your case.

It fixed after I took off an extra stand off that I had placed on, and after I corrected the incorrected bolts of the motherboard onto the case, so yeah taking the motherboard out helped! Thanks!
