Ok, so I've recently tried to upgrade the ram on a macbook pro from 4GB up to 16GB (2x8GB) RAM, however after doing so it didn't boot, it would turn on and simply give me a white screen with a few options, but would not proceed to boot fully. After this I figured that the ram wasn't working or being recognized so I placed the original ram into the laptop and since then I've been unable to power it on. When I plug the charger in I get no light on it letting me know that power is running through. Basically as if it wasn't plugged in.

Now I have verified that the charger itself works by plugging it into another macbook and the light comes on and charges just fine. But on this first mac I'm not getting any kind of response. I'm leaning towards it's a charging port issue, however why would the charging port fail from a change in RAM?

Just an update, I let it sit over the weekend open and when I came back today the charger seems to recognize being plugged into the macbook in question now. So the green light comes on when I have the charger plugged in, however it still does not power on or spin fans or anything.
