Hi all,
I recently purchased an intel i7-7700k processor which I swapped out for my i5 6600k.
I updated the BIOS and had all the drivers installed for hardware and yet when I booted it up it keeps trying to repair and BOSD
So I did a fresh install of Windows 10 and all other drivers on my i5 6600k and then put the i7 back in again. And again I got BSOD
I have also tried switching the ram in every combination including only having one stick in a slot.
Full PC specs
CPU- i7-7700k
GPU- MSI Nvidia GTX 970
MOBO- MSI Z170a Gaming Pro
RAM- Corsair vengeance LPX ddr4 2400mhz 2x8gb
PSU - Corsair 650w vs
OS - Windows 10 Education
Storage- Seagate 1TB hard drive
Cooler- seidon 120v v2k
Is there possibly some incompatibility of my hardware? I've built PC's before and never come across this! So any help would be appreciated!
Many thanks,
EJP.
