Hi there guys. I have an MSI Z97 GAMING 3 motherboard and basically while using HWmonitor my TMPIN3 was sitting around 50 Degrees in idle. When playing video games this climbs up to around 80 or so which for some reason also causes the CPU to run at around the same temperatures. I do not think its the cooler as its sitting fine and no cables are faulty. I just wanted to know is there a fix for this at all?

Many thanks

other temps look ok. just wonder where that sensor is on the motherboard. that sensor could be monitoring the temp right around the cpu socket and why it follows the cpu temp closely. it could be the chipset temp sensor or such.

and chances are its following the cpu temp as the cpu is the thing that other then the video card that generates the most heat in a case. followed by the voltage regulators and the chipset
