cant use flash drive anymore on asus z170 pro gaming need some help

i cant use any of my flash drives everything else i plug into usb works just not flash drives they show in the bios but doesnt show in windows only in device manager here is a pic of what shows up when i plug in my 16gb flash drive in the device manager it says asus 3.0 boost storage driver i read that this could be cause by asus ai suite iii but it wont let me uninstall it says that there is something wrong with install sheild and the ikernal.exe with install shield ive dtried reinstalling installshield both the ikernal and installshield it self. tried using revo uninstaller and ccleaner and tried ubinstalling from safemode and to no avail

You did not state what version of windows you are using so I cannot link you directly to the Download links.

Try this for uninstalling ETC
CCleaner sucks lel
Use this to uninstall it http://www.iobit.com/en/advanceduninstaller.php

You can also use this to update your drivers.

and I recommend this over ccleaner. CCleaner likes to destroy my windows file integrity

if installshield and the kernel are borked.

  • right click the windows logo/startmenu
    open cmd prompt (admin)
    type sfc...

  • right click the windows logo/startmenu
    open cmd prompt (admin)
    type sfc /scannow
    wait 15 minutes or so. (you can do other things while it happens)
    This will check your windows sys files' integrity and repair them if needed.

Still can't uninstall?

AiSuite starts with windows on startup. Even if you set it not to it will run certain background processes. It likes to do it even in safe mode. I swear it's evil this is why I don't use it
Perform a clean boot and then attempt the uninstall.
