Hello, i'm experiencing some issues while playing high-demand games ( In this case, Overwatch).
Since i bougth my GPU ( like 1 year ago) it has been always at 89-92 celcius maximukm, and never had problem.
Now, when i play overwatch, i can't even play a whole game because my computer turns off suddenly. I never had that problem before. The only difference is that i just bought a better gamig case ( Thermaltake View 27) and a custom water cooling to my CPU, since it was achieveing 90 Celcius and with that it's always below 55

Any sugestions what my problem could be?

My setup:
CPU: i5-6500
GPU: Saphire RX-480 8gb
PSU: EVGA supernova nexus 750B 80+ bronze

Solution
With the software that came with your GPU you should be able to setup a fan\heat profile. So the fan speeds up if the card gets to a high temp.

I have the XFX r9 390x with 8 GB and it should create a lot more heat than your card. I think my card never goes over 70C, I would have to check though. I have the fan set at 35% until it hit 50C and then the fan will keep speeding up as needed to keep it cool.

If you cant do that and you dont mind the noise set the fan at a constant 60-100%.

When posting a troubleshooting thread, it's customary to include your full system's specs inclusive of your OS. List them as:
CPU+CPU Cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
Chassis:
OS:

It'd be a good idea to also state your previous system specs to understand what you were working with. On that note, how old is your PSU? You're sure there isn't dust/debris clogging up your fans to induce high temps? Might want to include a picture of your setup. Overwatch isn't a demanding game at all though I am curious to ask what resolutions you're running the game at...?

Thanks for quick reply!. I attempt to play at borderless windows & fullscreen at 1920 x 1080 ( My monitor is a Samsung 24" curved)

My setup:

CPU+CPU Cooler: i5-6500 + custom water cooler (with tubes, 5 fans ( 3 on radiator, 1 on HDD and 1 on the back of the chasis
Motherboard: gigabyte B15-HD3
Ram: hyperX fury 2133 mhz
SSD/HDD: SSD: kingston 120gb / HDD Hitachi 2TB 7300 rpm
GPU: Saphire RX-480 8gb
Chassis: Thermaltake View 27
OS: Windows 8.1 pro x64

My previus setup was the same, but with a acteck 700z psu and amd a6 i think. and of course, another motherboard. i think the equivalent of gidabyte B15-HD3 i have now, but with amd socket.

My PSU was bougth Today. so it's brand new.
And i cleaned up my GPU fans like 2 weeks ago, and it wans't dusty at all ( to be 1 year old actually, i was surpised)

This is my setup:

Thanks!, I will try that when i get home. And if that does the trick, then that means my problem is definitely the GPU.

But, in any case, i think i should change my GPU soon, since i bought one tat's not aftermarket. I was thinking in
NVIDIA MSI GeForce GTX 1050 GAMING X, 2GB.

Or i can get any suggestions to a less-overheating one. Thanks!

So i tried that, and set my fan to 70% ( around 3,000 + RPM) and got my temp. between 68 and 72 C . So i guess i wont have any problems in the future.

I guess it was an overheating issue, since i speeded uo the fan to 3700RPM and it keeps between 50 and 70 and it solved the problem. I think i would need to buy a cooler or something to find a less noisy solution.

Yes, or put the tower under your desk. it can also be the environment around or in your case. How hot is it in the room? do you have enough case fans?

Mine is under the desk and I use headphones while playing games, I cannot hear any fans.

Some Options:

1. move tower to under desk.
2. add extra case fans.
3. buy Aftermarket cooling.
4. turn the AC up.

Well, in my country we reach like 50 Celcius, and these days we're experiencing above 38. So, that's why the PC is quite hot. I have 5 fans inside my computer, 3 on the radiator, 1 for the HDD and 1 on the back panel of the case. I already put it
under the desk and that helped a little. So the solution i did was to force the GPU fan to get really fast. I really don't liked that because of the noise, but that was the only left to do for now.

I have a fix for this.

At first, only Diablo 3 was "resetting" my PC. Google it... common problem. Then Overwatch started doing it.

Only Blizzard games seem to do this... yet they're not responsible for this phenomena.

The only way people have solved this is to reinstall. I reinstalled Windows 10 and everything; however, some report success uninstalling/reinstalling Battle.net and their games.

Thanks for reply.

I just ended selling that video card, since the place i live it's quite hot so the weather just affected the GPU more than it should. And bough another one from MSI ( GTX 1060 gaming X ) and that just did the trick.

How about this one, i cant find info on this anywhere else.
On my xbox one, about 3 or 4 minutes after starting overwatch...the power suply light turns red and powers down the console. Only when playing overwatch. I can play the witcher 3 or watch nerflix for example, but crashes soon after loading overwatch.
