I have an ASUS RT-N53 and the wi-fi keeps disconnecting. I updated my firmware and the problem still persists. I changed my LAN cables and the router from ISP has connection and works fine when wi-fi disappears. (I have 2 routers, one from my ISP that is connected to TV + my router).

I'm using both 2.5 and 5 ghz hotspots. Usually the 2.4ghz wifi doesn't disappear and sometimes the 5ghz is still on, but it requires the password, but it shows that the password I type is wrong.

Untick the first option under power management under the wireless adapter properties in device manager

Update the adapter drivers if there's an updated driver

Altho if youre using 2 routers and if theyre not configured properly you'll have probs as well

all my devices encounter this problem and I can't access the ISP's router to check the settings. I called them and they said everything's fine

the modem is from my ISP. it is connected to my ASUS router and to my TV box.
the ASUS supports both 2.4 and 5ghz networks.

it disconnected again and I tried to open the router settings and it gave me this:
Settings have been updated. Web page will now refresh.
Changes have been made to the IP address or port number. You will now be disconnected from RT-N53.
To access the settings of RT-N53, reconnect to the wireless network and use the updated IP address and port number.

in order to make the wifi work again I need to reboot manually the router
also I tried to connect to both the 2.4 and 5 wifi from my notebook and phone and it says I wrote the wrong password or that it is unable to connect to that network

I can't, the ISP does not allow to use my modem. it has to be theirs
