How to remove my graphics cars.from the pci 16x slot

Grab the longest part of the tab and pull it away from the slot as you lift out the card. The lever simply pulls a locking tab away from the notch on the card's edge connector.

It wasn't meant to "compress". It appears to be designed to either use one's fingers, or by sliding a screwdriver tip into the slot to use instead if there isn't enough room for one's fingers.
