Hello. New to gaming and have built first rig using Gigabyte G1 z170x gaming MB, Skylake 6700K 8M quad 4.0ghz processor and gigabyte gtx1080 extreme GPU. Have 32gb of G.skill Tridentz memory and using Samsung M.2 for OS (Win 10 64) and a seagate 2TB hybrid for games. 1000w corsair PS. Using 27" Asus 4K Gsync monitor.
System runs great and I am now addicted to FPS games. I have gone off deep end purchasing two more identical monitors and a second GPU. Intend to install on my next rotation off (I work nights 7 on and 7 off admitting patients in busy safety net hospital). Any thoughts or advice on my plans from those of you who are more experienced in these matters?

Solution
3 4k monitors on two 1080s is going to be overwhelming on those 1080s. You'll have to crank some settings down in order to maintain good frame rates. I personally would only recommend 3 monitors up to 1440P. Unless you have dual titan XPs/1080 Tis in SLI.

Thanks. Am reading conflicting things in other blogs regarding capabilities of 1080 GTX. As I own the 1080 GTX I am not willing to upgrade to a TI at this point. Need to see the bext big jump before I replace buy two new GPUs. Suppose I may have to turn off AA

You don't need AA at 4k. It's not even necessary to have at such a high resolution.

I was hoping the 1080 SLI would be able to feed two 4K monitors linked as one screen for gaming. Currently playing Clancys Wildlands and Division but thinking of going to Battlefield next

I own three of the high end Asus 4Ks. Think I will keep third even if I cant run it yet so I will have identical monitors when the next gen gpu is released....
