Unable to connect to WIFI using WDS bridge

I have two routers - TP LINK WR940N and WR841N. 940N is connected with my broadband modem. I have created a bridge with this router using my WR841N. So 841 is acting as a repeater. Now I'm able to use internet from 841N using LAN connection. But I cannot connect with its WIFI SSID. I can see the SSID but when I choose to connect, I enter the password and the device shows "incorrect password". Both of the routers are using WPA2-PSK protocol. What should I do to fix this?

Solution
I found the fix. I feel terrible :(

I was connecting with 940N giving its WIFI password. But I didn't change the password for 841N. That's why it was showing incorrect password. It's all working now. Thanks a lot for your input.
the words you're using are wrong. Please rephrase the problem.

reading what you posted you either have a TP-Link WR940 in bridge mode?

Or you're using a Wr841 as a middle segment in a network looking like this
router/modem->wr841->wr940?

Either way you're using the language wrong. a Network bridge is not what you think it is. Lets start with your modem, what is it? Does it have routing functions?

Fiber optic cable --> ONU --> 940N
I'm trying to establish wireless connection with 940N using 841N. So I have enabled WDS in 841N following TP-LINK's guide. If I connect my laptop with 841N using ethernet cable, I can use internet. But I cannot connect with 841N routers SSID. It's showing invalid password. I've tried with same SSID (same SSID for both routers), and different SSID, but no luck.

ok, so you have a fiber modem, the 841 is the "router" while you're trying to use the 940 as a wireless bridge?

to make sure we are on the same page, i'll rephrase your question. Tell me if i'm wrong.

-the problem you're having is you can't access the network over wifi as for some unknown reason the wifi doesn't seem to be working propperly on the 841. You can plug into the 841 and get internet, but when you try to connect to the 841 via wifi you get nothing.

is this what you're doing?

Yes that is exactly right.

mmmm... I'd probably perform a hard reset on the 841, set it up again. Sounds like something got turned off/on in the settings which shouldn't be switched on/off. without sitting in front of the device I can't really tell what's wrong.

Unless the device can export it's settings to a text document this will be a bit tough to troubleshoot with you over the forums. But we can give it a shot.
