Hi everyone
I'm in need of help
I'm trying to connect an extra monito to my pc which has a graphic card with and HDMI port (that I am currently using) and also DVI ports thaat I could use. But I also saw that there is another HDMI port that is placed on the motherboard, but it seems it's not working as it should. Is there anything software wise that I should do?

The motherboard is an ASUS H87-Plus
while my graphic card is a Radeon R9 270X 4GB

Please Help :/

Ususally you have your choice of an external video card -OR- the CPU video support. They do not both work at the same time.

I suspect that if you removed your video card this port would start working (unless as Kanewolf suggests your CPU does not have integrated video)

But that is not what you want, you want dual monitors.

You can use HDMI for one and DVI for the other. You can also get a DVI to HDMI cable which will carry picture but not sound. The picture quality will be the same whether you use the DVI or the DVI to HDMI cable. The only reason to get a DVI to HDMI cable would be if you monitor does not have DVI input.
