8gb vs 16gb

So I have a GTX 1080 and I'm buying an i7-7700k, should I get an extra 8gb DDR4 ram or should I wait a few months because right now I'd rather buy a better cooler, motherboard etc. do you think more ram would be necessary for such a graphics card and processor?

16gb is pretty much what you should pair with that cpu. But you're not gonna get bad performance with a single 8gb stick either, so i'd say get the better cooler and mobo and add another 8gb stick later.
