I work with a network that consists of Five9 X2000 processors running solaris 10 which utilize TechSource 2k and Raptor video cards that output video via DVI-D. These cards utilize a a method of outputting video in a multiple overlay extension (MOX) which draws the video in layers. My problem is that when I try to do a screen capture using xwd it only captures certain layers. TechSource has said it is impossible to do a screen grab of all layers without developing proprietary software. This sounds like a bunch of of bull to me and that the cards were purposefully designed so that the customer would have to pony up some dough for additional hardware or software from them if they want to do a screen capture. So the question is, is there any way I can capture this video on the cheap?
