I'm planning to upgrade my CPU to a i7 6700, but I'm not sure if it will work with my current gtx 1050ti. I check on the bottlenecker website and found out that the website is not a viable source.

Solution
It wouldn't even bottleneck the 1080. The 1050ti is very low end so maybe get the 1060 3GB instead. Wait till the AMD 500 series launches and the price correction. Should give you some better choices. The 500 series should launch the 18th and AMD's vega in May.

Definitely not, if anything the 1050 Ti is the bottleneck, the CPU is high end whereas the GPU is for entry-level Gaming. Upgrading to an i7 6700 will allow you more headroom if you plan on upgrading the GPU soon however. I suggest you look into something like a GTX 1060 6GB / RX 480 8GB or higher if you do plan on upgrading (Or wait for RX 500 as mentioned). Anything lower wouldn't be worth the cost from your current GTX 1050 Ti. Hope this helps :)

@Elbert Getting a GTX 1060 3GB will be a very poor choice since he already has a GTX 1050 Ti...
