I currently have a q6600 in my system, and I think it is time for an upgrade. I play games like overwatch, but I am slowly entering the realm of AAA titles which become increasingly more taxing on the cpu. Here are the options I was thinking:
1) Modify my motherboard (Ga-P35c-Ds3r) to accept an x5460. Cost ~25 with cpu, sticker and knife.

2)Purchase a lga 1156 motherboard, and put an x3470 inside, with 8gb of ddr3. cost ~130

3)Purchase an old dell desktop, that has an i5 2400 and 8gb ddr3 installed. Cost ~60-80

I was only considering the dell option because it has 32nm manufacturing, where the other processor options both have 45nm.

Thanks in advance!
