It is not like that. If it was regular 500Gb SSD at $170, I would not wait. But when I have to spend $1400, it makes sense to assure that it will not drop down next week. Also Samsung SSDs do not drop in price that much, I would like to by 960 Evo if they are around the corner.
Nice article, but sounds like empty promises. When is this all going to unveil? I built Kaby Lake computer only because my older Ivy Bridge ran out of SATA and SSD storage. But when it came to building, the M.2 SSDs by Samsung were so expansive that I could only get 1TB. I hate it. I am installing software synths and I have to contact tech support from every company because it does not install right on other drives than C. Bought 2 more 1TB SSDs and they almost filled. I have one more SATA space, may be I can make 2 more SATA spaces, so I need large capacity SSDs, and looks like they only available for Enterprise. There is no light at the end of tunnel. How long is there to wait?
