Hello,

Could anyone recommend something to replace my old AMD 7850 HD

The rest of my specs are

Intel I5 3570k
16GB ram

Thanks

I should also say my monitor is only 1080p

Ahhh, Vega. Bit slow over here. It's been a long wait. Sure, if you want. See what floats to the top. Price vs performance is of course key. Not sure they could beat that price point considering it is a fairly high end card. The 10603GB and the 480 4GB go toe to toe with many games with neither card being a clear overall winner.

Depends on a few variables. 1) What Resolution/FPS do you want to play at? 2) What settings do you want in the games that you play? 3) What Power Supply do you have? 4) What is your budget? Also be aware the RX 500 Series is coming out soon. :)

From a neutral perspective this is my recommendations:

(Anything lower wouldn't be a good upgrade)
1080p Medium/High > RX 470 4GB/8GB
1080p High/Ultra > GTX 1060 6GB or RX 480 4GB/8GB
Higher than 1080p > Depends how high but starting with GTX 1070.

I don't really have a maximum, but I have no intention of replacing my monitor any time soon, I'm only looking for the best 'bang to buck' card really

Perhaps £260 tops

And maxing games out would be nice, my power supply is 750watts iirc, it was a decent brand aswell

This is great for the price! For some reason PCPartPicker had very little variety for 4GB RX 480s :/.

Would it be worth waiting a week or so? They are updating the range aren't they?

Sorry, I read that the 5xx cards for AMD are being released soon

Not Vega mate, just a refresh of the RX 400 lineup at first (RX 560/570/580) almost identical specs with a few clock speed improvements and such. But Vega will come out shortly after and yes the wait has been too long... ;)

Did I mention slow meant slightly touched in the head? A bit off I am today. Thanks for the clarification.
