is this good for 1080p gaming

Solution
Yes that would crush most games at High/Ultra in 1080p 60+ FPS. But i suggest you change the Power Supply to this > https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/nB3RsY/seasonic-power-supply-s12ii620bronze. It is around the same price, higher wattage and known to be reliable. Hope this helps :)

the fury is great but is old, if you have the psu for it and is really cheap is a good option, otherwise a gtx 1070 is better on most games

that 500watts psu could be not ideal for that gpu, you need something bigger, 550, to have room to grow in cpu and gpu in the future other extra components and avoid the psu to run fans at full speed all the time

how does the gtx 1060 stack up against the r9 fury, they are around the same price

1060 is the better buy. The R9 Fury competed directly against the GTX 980, and the 1060 is a tad faster than a 980. Plus you get the extra vram on the 1060 that the Fury lacks.

it is hard to decide, there is many videos comparing those two, sometimes wins the fury, sometimes wins the gtx

one thing is certain, the fury uses double the watts than the gtx, 250 watts or a bit more, the 1060 uses 120 to 150 more or less
