ASUS PRIME X370-PRO vs ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR VI HERO

The only difference I noticed is that the ROG comes with some buttons in the IO to reset the CMOS, some "unique" features for marketing like gold plated jacks and sonic radar and 10 USB 3.0 instead of 6 USB 3.0.
Both have SLI/CrossFire support, good audio and LAN specs, etc... And I don't see how the non-ROG motherboard could of have a lower manufacturing quality, which could be the main reason to for an extra cost. Oh, and the design of the motherboard.

If I was you, I would stick with the PRIME X370-PRO and put the "extra cost" on a gorgeous case or a better graphics card.
