It's actually less powerful than HD 530 and I believe 520 graphics.
It's gotta be better than the AMD Radeon HD 3000 that he gets from on-board, though. Right? If the OP is looking to improve performance, this would do it, but only barely and not worth the cost. If the OP is only looking for a digital (HDMI/DVI) output, this would be perfect.
